I have a passion for collaboration with nonprofit organizations. I find it very rewarding to be able to use my skill set to help organizations define and expand their visions through the creation of memorable imagery.
For start-ups I have created their logos and websites. For more established groups I have created powerpoint presentations, new header graphics, videos on current projects, and PSAs (public service announcements) for media outlets.
One of my strengths is my ability to create info-graphics to aid in storytelling. This can be anything from creative ways to show financial information to donors, to illustrating processes that do not lend themselves to photographic depiction or even text description. I have a knack for illustrating sometimes complex information and processes in easy-to-understand visuals.
Crooked Trails example
In the fall of 2011 I was invited by Crooked Trails to come with them to Nepal and video document their volunteer home-stay project, where they went to build a water system for a rural village. I was completely immersed in this wonderful project, volunteering as well as capturing the events on video. Back in Seattle I edited the project and got permission from the Nepalese musical group Kutumba to use one of their songs as the backing track. This was a very rewarding experience for me.
What can we do together?
In addition to my interest in doing more of these travel documentary projects, I also bring to life projects in my own studio with photos and sometimes video clips provided by the client.
Please feel free to contact me with your ideas. It could be great fun to see how we might collaborate to make your dreams a reality.
